SMALL COZY ROOMS, CAN THIS BE?Certainly! Of course, small rooms can also be cozy and homely. However, the most important prerequisite for this is probably the most difficult, namely: keep order. It is therefore important that the furniture is optimally planned. In particular, the right choice of cabinet is crucial, because things can be stowed away quickly and order can be created in the cabinet.
A WARDROBE FOR SMALL SPACES – IT MATTERS:1) CHOOSE THE BEST LOCATION: It is important to place the cabinet in the optimal place. It is usually cramped if the wardrobe is placed directly next to the room door. Sometimes, however, this cannot be avoided. If there is a window in the room, the cupboard should not restrict the view from any location. The most important thing is that the wardrobe can be used in combination with other furniture without any problems. For example, doors or drawers should always be able to be opened completely. Our tips:
- Avoid placing the cupboard too close to the room door or window.
- The wardrobe should not restrict the view through the window.
- The doors and drawers of the cabinet should always be able to be opened completely.
2) CHOOSE THE WARDROBE NOT TOO LARGE AND NOT TO SMALL You might think that it goes without saying: small room, small wardrobe. Sure, it shouldn't be too big, but you should think about whether a cabinet that's too small can even serve its purpose. It is therefore crucial to make optimal use of the available space. If the cupboard can only be placed on a small part of the wall, it should use this space as precisely as possible. With our custom-made cabinets, that's no problem. You should also plan the wardrobe up to the ceiling. So you have the most storage space with as little space as possible.
- Use the length of the wall in the best possible way and plan the wardrobe to measure with us.
- Configure the cupboard in height up to the ceiling to have as much storage space as possible with a small footprint
3) THE RIGHT DESIGN WARDROBE FOR SMALL SPACES Dark colours can be oppressive and engaging in small rooms. Choose light colours for small rooms. White always works. Light pastel shades give a small colour accent, look friendly and are also suitable for small rooms. A room becomes particularly homely through the repetition of colours and their interplay. Integrated door handles, which are recessed into the door, look pleasing, take up less space and can not disturb. However, you are choosing the desired colour for your wardrobe and different door handles. Try it out with our configurator.
- Choose rather bright colours for the closet, e.g. white or light pastel shades. Pick up colours from the room when choosing colours. Please note: any accessories can be replaced faster than a cupboard that should last a long time.
- Choose the right door handles for you.
4) OPTICAL TRICK: MIRROR DOORS: Mirror doors make the room appear larger. The opposite side of the wall is reflected in the wardrobe, and thus the room visually gains twice the depth. You can either order our wardrobe completely with mirrored doors, or you can only order some individual doors with outside mirrors. If you don't want mirrored doors, you can of course also add interior mirrors from our range of accessories to your wardrobe.
